Yet another victim of Rana Plaza die …

After fighting for his life for 107 days, Monwar Hossain, 22, from Mithapukur upazila in Northern District of Rangpur breathed his last at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Enam Medican College Hospital in Savar at around 4:30am.

Monwar was rescued from the second floor of Rana Plaza on April 24. He was an iron-man of one of the garment factories, which were housed on the building. After being rescued at 10AM in the morning on the collapse day, he remained in a state of Coma till the day of his death today.

The death toll from the Savar tragedy now stands at 1,133 [Daily Star].

The inevitable occurred just after the protest at the Savar Collapse site by the victims and family of the dead of the tragedy, demanding fare compensation which would trickle down to the right people rather than disappear in among the influential. Most of the victims complain of not getting any help for what they fear to be a hopeless future ahead.
