There is yet another free evening school operating under the umbrella of RISE Society. The school started its activity on April 2013, when RISE Society already supported another street school educating children in the Mirpur Stadium compound of the City.
The school currently hosts 12 students where most are girls who are either household workers or employed since an early age into menial works. The action plan for MUKTI School involves:
1. Providing Free Academic Education focusing on giving High School Exams. Apart from educating, those who show genuine interest for High School examinations will be provided with adequate financial support provided without which they may loose the opportunity to give this exam.
2. Moral/Ethical education focusing on community service, responsibility for actions, tolerance beyond religious/racial/cultural/ethnic/social/gender or other forms of discrimination.
3. Encouraging community development spirit among the students of MUKTI.
More details for the school may be provided upon request, any suggestions or comments are welcome in this effort.
The Mukti School and other efforts by RISE Society to contribute towards the education and development of child domestic labor and garment worker children, including other deprived children of the community has been carried out by the founders of RISE Society even before RISE Society had been founded.
The struggle against oppression continues with the torch of enlightenment.
